A hint of Autumn in the air always makes me wanna hear some Stones.

From a European perspective it was albums in the fall and tours next summer.

Yeah Elmo love the Stones fall tours. They always seem to roll through town right around the time of my birthday.

I seem to recall Goat's Head Soup either coming out in September or late August 73. So yeah, that one.

Fall 1981 a very special time for a young Stones fan!! The British Are Coming Tour and Tattoo You. My first show in Hartford CT November 10, 1981 I can't beleive it was 30 years ago!! Always think of the Stones this time of year. Then they retunred to the US in September of 1989 or very late August if you want to get technical but another fall tour. The general excitement has not been the same since those two tours. I think we all thought 1981-82 was the end for a while the way the 80's went and then a lot of us thought 89-90 would be the end and in a way it was with the departure of Bill Wyman.

I always put GHS in the summer category, August being one the hottest months where I grew up. IORR came out in October, so that's mid-autumn right there.
