That's the truth - thank God for the Rolling Stones, I've said it many times. When I'm really depressed and I hear "Brown Sugar" or "It's Only Rock 'n Roll," I feel like I can breathe again. My theory is that there is so much vital life force embedded in Jagger's voice and/or Keef's guitar that it revives the wretched and makes them want to live again.
I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW by Johnny Nash. This is included in the CD box set This is Reggae Music: The Golden Era, 1960-1975. The liner notes quote a critic of the time: "It's a song that can get you through a traffic jam."
