Honestly, HMN, you captured some great moments from that film. Top notch job, really. Reminded me of a scene-by-scene photograph book I have on Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange.

And Edith, I had no idea that was Sonny either. I don't know which is scarier: the onstage dog or Sonny. Or that bad acid trip Angel. What a nightmare.

Strange in that I knew people who went to the festival and some great fun. They weren't down in the front of the stage, but said the music was really good with a nice vibe up on the hill. Down front those folks were in a mean old world, once the Angles drove in. When one considers that many people were heavily tripping on acid, the violence seen first hand must have been bizarre to experience under those conditions. Hell, it's bad enough if you are completely clean! Amazing how well the Stones played at Altamont considering the chaos swirling around the stage. Keith really stood up tall, and Jagger did the best he could to try and keep things together. Great set though by the band.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a longer version "directors cut" of Gimme Shelter?
