They use an infrared camera at night. It's much better in the daytime. Check back in about an hour. It should be daylight in Iowa by then.

Okay, it's daylight, and you can see them in full color and with sound! Two eggs have hatched and one is still to come. The two babies are being fed right now!

It looks like there's a dead crow and a dead rodent of some kind in the nest. They are kick-ass birds of prey!

Eight hours & fifteen minutes for someone to mention The Eagles. I didn't think it would take that long !

tatters, did you have one of those chicken-egg incubators when you were a kid ?

You want to watch the ones that AREN'T kick-ass. It's a shame that such a lame band is using the name of such a noble bird.

No. I didn't get interested in birds until I was well into my 30s. My wife got me into it. We've successfully hand-raised a whole flock of cockatiels. I would like to have some chickens someday. Used to be that if you lived within the Ann Arbor city limits, you weren't allowed to have them, but now they've passed an ordinance that says you may keep four hens (no roosters) on your property as long as you get permission from you neighbors.

The babies are getting so big! Soon they'll be hopping up and down, flapping their wings, and getting ready for their first flight!
