Sam Cooke was smooth..... Unfortunately he got involved with Allen Klein too. I believe Klein was Cooke's business manager.

I'm hardly a Klein fan, but from what I've read Klein did all right by Sam, at least when he was alive.

A Change Is Gonna Come. The weary sadness of the singer makes you wonder if he really believes it. But the voice's great dignity give you some hope.
