Okay, I know their music is nothing like "The Boys" we all on this site love, but I am really caught up in the the "Mumford and Sons" hype, not only do I enjoy their sound but it seems their music stands for something more, from their web-site they sate their purpose:
"to make music that matters, without taking themselves too seriously"
Really, some humility in the music scene, that seems to be a nice change, anyway they write about real life and seem to play and sing it from their hearts. Besides all that they are from London!
Its hardly a stretch to love Mumford & Sons They're incredibly talented and refreshing. They are about to do a 6 show run in the US Southwest and it sold out here in Austin in about 5 seconds.
They are great live too. Love em.
Currently listening to The Banjolin Song and Awake My Soul.
love the mumfords - they are coming here soon at the end of a train tour. love their influences - old bands like pentangle, strawbs...mumfords are bringing back to life some of these folks to newer audiences...
I don't want to turn this into a religous or theological thread, but the thing that really appeals to me about them is that they profess faith in Christ the living God, but yet there music is not like 95% of all other Christian music in my lifetime, PURE CRAP, wishy washy bullshit. These guys tell it like it is, life is hard and has its peaks and valleys, its okay to be a Christian and drop the "F" bomb in a song, especially if its the truth. It's okay to play your music in a bar and drink a beer or three or cocktail and smoke a cigarette, yes even if you are a Christian. No more about my faith, you all can email about that if you want.
Yes I have tickets for their Railroad Tour Stop in Tempe on the 23rd, can't wait.
Thanks for reading and all of your replies, Peace my friends. . . . NWSooner

Love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you, It will set you free Be more like the man you were made to be. There is a design, An alignment to cry, Of my heart to see, The beauty of love as it was made to be
Great stuff
Have fun at the Tempe show...I didn't get any Austin tickets. But I do have RUSH seats in June...
I know what you mean, NWSooner - although I'm a Christian I don't usually like the general run of "Christian musicians" who create their music for that niche market - but I do enjoy Mumford and Sons.
Elmo, everday like a kid at Christmas time, can't wait!
Munichhilton, I sent you an e-mail.....
Green Lady, if you ever get to the states Arizona specifically lets hook up for a coffee or a cocktail, I love meeting Christians from other countries. My wife and I spent our 25th anniversary in Ireland last June met some great people.
