So odd you wrote this Amsterdamned, because I watched the clip up there too, and was scrolling down to write something similar. Those years '92/'93 were very fruitful for the Stones. One big late era surge with Jagger doing "Wandering Spirit", Keith on "Main Offender", Ronnie with "Slide on This" - 3 top solo albums; all the while gearing up for Voodoo.

I'm in that minority who loves Americana music, over here in Spain: country music, folk, bluegrass ... And strange people like me who would kill to be in a Nashville joint any Friday night...
Americana is a term that may seem new to some but has its origin in the first half of last century. Trying to summarize, Americana is an eclectic mix of music that has taken root in America, but under that umbrella has created a kind of revival of styles very close to the country.
I do not care too much the "fees", but I think the term has revitalized American artists undeservedly forgotten and risen somewhat a somewhat tiresome.
