I know this has probably been posted before, but just heard on the radio that the Stones are rumored to play the Coachella Festival, in California, this year.

It's bollocks. They were also rumoured to play it in 2010, too.

The Stones don't do anything when they're not on tour.

If they play it, then it is no longer the Coachella Festival. It is a Stones concert.

The main reason for it being a non-starter is that it takes place when, April?

It'll be a surprise as it is if the Stones have even got around to TALKING with each other about touring by then, let alone performing.

It's an obvious knock-on affect that happens when Keith or any other band member mentions that they'll probably tour in 2011. Then the rumours start for every festival under the sun (often a bit of mischief making by the promoters to get interest from ticket buyers during a recession)
