Hi everyone here on IORR!

Does anybody know what key keith is playing in in the song :"I am waiting"?
I am asking this for a friend who loves to play this song...

kirk that is my thought, too. I know there are a lot of guitar palayers on IORR..please please some advice...I am a guitar player myself..but this guitar tab from open -g (by the way, thank you open-g for your response!)is still not the one I was looking for...

Yes, the chords in that link aren't really correct. This song is in C, but the thing is that in the recording it sounds slightly sharper than C, but not C sharp either. So it's somewhere in between.

And the chords for the choruses actually are:
Dm G7 or G (both sound right) C Em Am
Dm G7 or G and C.

you wait in the key too long and you get a 3-second violation, of course....

Yes it is closest to the C but tape must have been speeded up. The phrasing in the verses are beautiful. Basically a C but the note E (major 3rd) is dominant on that dulcimer (?), as is the 5th (G). The "oh yeah" is just F and G.

That is what I heard too, the tape being speeded up.Thank you all for your help!

here's the tuning in the Alfred songbook :

I don't think it's correct, they didn't use that tuning at these times.

The Japanese songbook has got it in C.
That's how Keith Richards seems to play it in the video.
