Joshua Tree Inn....the motor lodge where Anita, Keith, and Gram Parsons stayed--and, tragically, where Gram died--is for sale.

Doesn't look like it's changed much at all! (and truly, $1.5 million isn't that much--a 2BR apt in San Francisco goes for that much)

Wonder the historic guestbooks, with Keith and Gram's sign-ins, are part of the deal?

Hope someone doesn't buy it and knock it down--it should be marked as a historically significant landmark.

U2 stayed here too while doing the photo shoot for the cover of "The Joshua Tree" album nearby. Joni Mitchell used to stay there as well. I wonder what kind of income the place brings in annualy?

Lots of famous people have stayed there, according the official web site, since the 1950s. I don't know how much they bring in. But you can stay there for only $85/night!

Seems like an opportunity for someone to lovingly restore the place and revitalize its simple desert glory.
