...well, according to Rick Springfield, anyway. Knowing Patti starred in the film HARD TO HOLD with Rick Springfield, I checked his new memoir out of the library to see if he mentioned Keith. Here's his one paragraph (p. 200) about Keith:

Keith Richards (looking astoundingly like Dracula) pays a visit to the set one night to visit his girl and check up on me, vis-a-vis his girl. I'm flattered that he would even think there might be something going on between us (there isn't), but I'm more excited just to talk to him. I was fourteen when a girl told me that she thought I looked like Keith Richards. It was the coolest thing anyone had ever said to me. That old moment keeps jumping into my head as we're talking, and the fourteen-year-old in me wants to stop the conversation and scream (in a high my-balls-haven't-dropped-yet falsetto) "Oh my GOD! It's Keith fukking Richards!" But I manage to restrain myself.

this kind of a scenario wouldn't be a first in the world of motion pictures

Keith might well have been thinking about Mick and Anita in PERFORMANCE.

The memoir reminds me a lot of Bill's STONE ALONE because Springfield goes on and on and on about all the girls he fukked.

why does the fact that he visited Patti on the set mean he was "concerned [she] was cheating on him"?
(maybe he was, but so far it sounds more like Springfield's wishful thinking)

That's funny because in Springfield's book (p. 63) he says: "Along with every other eleven-year-old boy in England at the time I fall in love with Hayley Mills. I write away...for an autographed photo...which dutifully comes back signed `To Richard from Hayley.' I put it by my bed and kiss it good night every single night. I still have it and I can see the smooch marks I left."

Springfield is hilarious in Californication!!!!!!

Springfield writes extensively throughout his memoir about his chronic depression that has dogged him most of his adult life, that he refers to repeatedly as "Mr. D." (for depression), and it's not a far stretch to conclude he got the idea from the Stones' song DANCING WITH MR. D (even though their D is for devil).

The only primary source can only be the writer Mick. I'm sure Keith knows since he was probably the first to be handed the lyrics.

A good question to ask instead of the redundant how did you meet eachother.

"Death" does make more grammatical sense. But Mick and Keith were both born in...Dartford!
