2000 Light Years From Home, with excessive, visible from space strobe lighting, whacked-out distorted vocals, full-on intense 3D graphic psychedelic images on the video screens, mind-melting reverb and disorienting echo effects to send everyone slightly insane before they go home. Imagine how damn cool that would be for a change.

I just listened to my Little Walter Greatest Hits disc yesterday so I'm going to go with a cover that I think it would be cool to hear the Stones play anyway...

For some reason, in my minds ear, I can hear the Stones doing a great job on this one. Keep the looseness of the Little Walter with a bit of the Pat Travers edge and the Stones swagger... I'd be ready to listen in the dark.

Nice idea, but I don't think the Stones would do a song about wife-beating.

I'd go for All Down the Line (with extended ride out at the end of course).

Good Point Roll... Kinda funny (in my mind) that I've played that song with bands for years and never paid enough attention to the lyrics to know what they were actually talking about! One of the hazzards of being a musician as opposed to a vocalist, I guess.

Yeh dja - the real meaning of that song kind of passed me by too. To be honest the only reason I picked up on it was after watching a great documentary on Chess Records (Still available on BBC iplayer if you're interested - and living in the UK)! Little Walter obviously features in it and Marshall Chess was talking about what a bad ass Walter was and how that song reflected what was really going on in his life.

Know what you mean about playing in bands and not concentrating on the lyrics. Maybe I should start paying more attention!
