Nicos--really? was I that off? admmitedly i just thumbed through so i apologize if i was inaccurate - but still - at a cursory glance- i felt like the majority were pickups - you really feel like the shots are that new?

I am disappointed in the photos. I was hoping they wouldn't use a lot of those same stock agency photos, but they did.
The only photos that are new to me are those taken by Jane Rose or Patti Hansen in the second photo section of the book.

Of course, I do expect a follow-up in the form of a large coffee-table book filled with rare, never-before-published photos.

I too am disappointed in the pics. Keith probably delegated the "photo job" out to someone who wasn't a Stones fan. He should have given Bill German a call or someone like him.

i once heard johnny thunders say - "a good rock and roll book has lots of photos that the biggest fans have never seen"

i agree - for me, this was re-hash city - things i saw at 12 years old

well look at the ones you haven't seen before, in that case
(yes, there are a bunch of shots we've all seen before, and some that none of us had seen, including hb - age 12 or otherwise)

well yeah, obviously, if I flagged it, then to me it does - i think for a release that is being marketed as heavy as this, it would have been nice if someone actually paid attention to the full package - feel free to disagree of course, but to me, it matters
