With The Stones gathering in London next month for their Summit.Surely that would only mean the Tour is on..wouldn't it?.

No. They have a business meeting every year (when they havent been working) to decide on what they're going to do in the year ahead (or if they're not going to do anything).

Whilst the signs are that they'll tour next year, each interview so far has only indicated that they dont know whats happening until they have their meeting.

By the news and doubtful taste debates going around nowaday, I wouldn't be surprised if they gathered in a room to compare who's got it "bigger". The winner would gain priority about new album production, tour promotion, sponsor and royalties, stuff like that. They're lucky Bill is out of the game, we would have a "monkey grip nostalgia" tour (one song or two weren't bad, if I remeber)

And what makes this a "summit" anyway? That doesn't even work or apply to the Stones having a meeting. The Stones only summit according to a lot of people was 1969-1973 in regards to being a touring act.

They can always talk about investments. Maybe it's just a bunch of old friends getting together for tea.

I like that the meeting is called a "summit" that rocks!

Just try something different- abb was great but go to the blues and give jack white the reigns of producer with freedom to work. I promise that they would have an album for the ages! You don't have to do eoms, sg, sf, etc. but you could still be the Stones!

It's only a summit if Hilary is there.

At this point I'm just glad their still willing to get together and talk, even if its about being them being incontinent!

I'm sure they will exchange wishlists from Christmas presents.

A tour will be on when or if they announce a tour is on, and until that time - a summit is nothing more than a good old face to face chinwag around (one might assume) a table, unless they're into teleconferencing !! If you wanna believe a summit "means" something or other, believe away to your hearts content, but as regards the Stones' "future", I shouldn't take anything for granted at this stage in the game if I were you. Hopefully they HAVE one, hopefully they WILL tour, but to assume that the fact they'll shortly be holding their annual summit necessarily means for sure that a tour is on - is a bit naive in my opinion.

If there is a tour in 2012 (2011) then the decision to do it has already been made I would assume. It takes years of preparation, doesn't it? They only have to decide when to announce it.

It's only speculation, but I would be suprised if there wasn't at least one more tour, even if it's a small one.

Well wise guys told us of a tour in 2008, 2009 and 2010. I'll believe when it¨s announced. I said back in 2008, that I didn't believe...prove me wrong :-)

i think they will gather to count money and divide it up amongst themselves with mick getting the most then keith and then charlie and then whatever crumbs and scraps left will fall off the table towards ronnie.
