Now that my obsession over the Stones in '72 has subsided a little bit, can someone please post a list of good bootlegs from 1969?
I only know of Liver Than You'll Ever Be, but isn't that from the same shows as Ya-Ya's?

You got the Sun, You got the Moon,
and you've got
The Rolling Stones

L.A. 2*, both Oaklands**, San Diego*, Detroit, the 1st MSG*, the last MSG, one of the Bostons*.

* = quite listenable despite being taped from the audience.

Baltimore, San Diego indeed, Oakland, MSG...

"Live'r Than You'll Ever Be" is from Oakland, "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" is from MSG (LIV is from Baltimore as an exception...)

get whole tour. every city (not every show) is available except Auburn...

Is it possible to specify which are the more listenable ones..... or are they all audience recordings?

There's also Altamont. Some is available as soundboard (Gimmer Shelter song)

oh yeah, forgot Altamont. great sound and - besides the murder - awesome show. "Sun Is Shining" (Jimmy Reed cover!), first "Brown Sugar" ever, "Gimme Shelter" - it really tastes great.

Not a complete show but the 1969 Soundboard Collection,a mix of Oakland,Detroit and Baltimore and London is excellent. Hyde Park is also a decent recording but not the greatest show.

I've just uploaded that 1969 SBD compilation to HungerCity... but frankly, that boot is slightly overrated to me ;^)

If you want to browse the offerings, many can be found on youtube on kg441's channel. Note: I am not kg, I just check his channel out everyday to see what's new and am often impressed.

I think Detroit is a great show. It is a bit of a step down sound-quality wise, but I find it listenable in the right mood.

texas fan is definitely right: Detroit was a legendary performance; superb sound on Keith's guitar (the opener JJF is incredible). Great crowd response on songs like Prodigal Son. The problem is the audio quality - it's not terrible but it's nothing like what people are used to in boots today.

Boston, Baltimore are tremendous as noted above. The Oakland shows are weird but excellent. In one of the Oakland shows the amps blew for Keith and Bill on JJF, so Mick T., Charlie and Mick do the whole song themselves. Then they go into the accoustic set while the amps get fixed! Really interesting to hear.

Finally, for sheer entertainment check out the Champaign, Illinois show where Mick is clearly stoned out of his mind and makes a lot of funny remarks, well appreciated by the crowd. The audio quality for Champaign is flat out bad but the performance itself is very different and very cool.

here are a few suggestions.
VGP 003 Oakland 69
008 San Diego 69
018 Stones MGS 69
Above are audience recordings
Acetates Get YR YA Yas Out - soundboard
the best is complete NYC no label Get YR YA Yas Out - a soundboard that uses the official release and adds in other soundboards to make the complete show.
