No difference.

Gatwick is south of London. you take a train into VICTORIA train station and then use the tube to get around.

Stanstead is north of London. you take a train into LIVERPOOL STREET train station and then do the same.

If you wanted to be a little more adventurous by taking the scenic route, you could actually walk to the 100 Club from Victoria Station quite easily. Walk to the end of Victoria Street, cross over and walk along Whitehall through to Trafalgar Square, then walk up Charing Cross Road a little before veering into Old Compton Street and strolling ‘till you reach Wardour Street. Have a couple of pints in The Ship (where Keith Moon was a regular and Mick Jones wrote ‘Complete Control’) and continue walking up. You’ll find yourself on Oxford Street where you’ll see the 100 Club across the road and slightly to your right.

Err… or you could ignore this and get yourself a London A-Z.

EASYBUS from the airport (doesnt matter which one) to baker street, you can then either walk to Oxford Street or take the tube to Oxford Circus (5min) and you're there.

Gatwick - train to Victoria. Victoria Line to Oxford Circus and a short walk down Oxford Street.

Definitely Gatwick, imo.
Public transport from & to it is much better there. Stansted was Hell in that respect, last time I was around...

Stansted is marginally more convenient as you can pick up the Central Line from Liverpool St which runs directly to Oxford Circus, where get off for Oxford St.
