Any picture of the Stones back in Jamaica 1972?

Exile was much documented thanks to Tarlé.

What about GHS sessions at Dynamic Sound Studios?

Pictures of their whereabouts in Jamaica?

I think I have never seen a single shot.

Sorry, I always ask questions, I never give much of an anwser myself

But there are so many connoisseurs on IORR, I am not to shy to ask

Rockman

You are always the solution.

Very few pictures however... Seems nobody cared much about these English boys playing on the island

our cohort Toru-A once posted some shots that Koh Hasebe took at Dynamic Sound - here's one of them:

... and maybe the handful of skinny English cats appreciated being left more or less in peace :E

Great photos - thanks for posting.

I ADORE Keith's outfit in the color photos.

Anyone know what magazine he's browsing, in the photo with Charlie?

Looks like MUSIC LIFE 12 but I googled it but didn't find anything.

I like that pic of Mick making coffe for himself - there is something human about it. not customary beer or whiskey for the change

You get a close look at Keith's tele with new pickup - the Montreux rehearsals show it with the original pickup

That's a different Tele altogether.

It's a Shamisen, a traditional Japanese instrument. Not sure why he'd have one in Jamaica....

i always reckoned they unearthed it in honour of the visit of a photographer for a Japanese magazine ...
or maybe it belonged to the photographer (er: that's "always" as in "since i learned from Toru A who took the shot" )

But could be the case that they had at the time serious plans to "conquer" Japan (to tour there, that is), and being polite to a photographer of Japanese magazine was a part of PR policy then... Which as we knew, failed, thanks to that "junkie criminal" Jagger.

I don't know, just counting one plus one...grinning smiley

They got Japanese traditional instruments as souvenir.
Bamboo Shinobue Flute was one of them. (Not the one Mick Taylor has in the picture above. It's a shakuhachi.)
There is a rumor that says Jim Horn played it on "Can You Hear The Music?".

Check the sound of Shinobue Flute below.

There were photos stills shown in the Stones in Exile DVD that had me thinking whether or not they were Nellcote photos or Jamaica 72 photos. They were the film series ones where they show Mick Jagger, Mick Taylor and Jimmy Miller smoking these pipes...

Does anyone know what I'm talking about or where they're from?

On a side note - both Bill & Keith's women were raped while in Jamaica...
