i mean it - now it's starting to feel like time is slipping away - no real pulse on the "band" these days - all just scattered and seemingly inactive, save for a few blips

Good. This is the way it always feel before they do something. And you just know they're plotting the next couple years as we pine. Hmmm.........how do we do a financially successful tour with this economy? Charlie, got any ideas for a stage?

What do you mean you heard them only outside? You mean like in the Foreigner song, "Juke Box Hero"? You put your head to the wall, and like a distant scream, you heard one guitar just blow you away? Is that what you mean?

Rehearsals are in many cases BETTER than the actual show. All the spontaneity an relaxed atmosphere can't be beat!

By the way, what's up Harm?

Indeed I had a wonderful time in Brussels during rehearsals although we only had glimpses of the Stones. The security was relaxed as were calm fans... the weather was hot.. one of my pictures made it to a paper...little things like that... good memories as probably most of the people who were there would agree I think.
For the rest, things are much the same (maybe luckyly??). Fortunately, every few months there is a concert that is worth going to. Jeff Beck, John Mayall, Charlie Watts in Milan... but since I read the reviews, Ron Wood would be very high on my list.......very high.

Lots of other bands seem to manage it.

Plus, a Stones tour is so heavily bankrolled by corporate sponsors that its an absolute sure thing risk-wise as far as the band are concerned.

I am one of those Mick Taylor Stones fans & I am continually finding new stuff --

In Friday's mail I received three Swingin' Pig Stones LPs from the MT Years: LIVER THAN THE FIRST SHOW, LIVER THAN YOU'VE EVER BEEN (both from the 1969 tour) and HELLO LEEDS, BYE BYE UK (from the 1971 Farewell UK tour). While the material on these LPs may be old, these specific Swingin' Pig titles are new (at least to me).

Add in the two re-releases from the last year (YA-YAs in late 2009 and EOMS earlier this year), plus the upcoming "official" release of a L&G Blu Ray DVD (with the one-night-only showing of L&G in select theaters 9/16).

Plus, persons on this board are constantly posting great articles & photos about the MT Years Stones. One that stands out is HonestMan's thread on his one-on-one time speaking with Tarle about Tarle's Exile photos. Other posters on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum are posting their personal (first-generation) tapes of shows from the 1972 tour.

Beyond the MT Years, we have a Keith Richards biography coming out and more & more rumors about a possible Stones world tour . . . .

Interesting times.

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

I'am curious about Keith memories on Taylor since he was on a different planet those days.
