"Johnny's Gonna Die" - The Replacements (about Johnny Thunder).

Yeah, that came to mind when I was picking my Top 5 'Mats tunes. They had him open for them in New York in the later years and brought him out for an encore of Born to Lose, if I'm not mistaken. Think it was the Beacon Theater, which would have been the biggest N.Y. venue Johnny had played in a long time (possibly since the Felt Forum, opening for Mott, back in '73 ?).

I was at that show! It was @ Feb. '89. A few months later Johnny fell on top of me at a bar (Continental Divide I think) in the E. Village. We both went crashing to the floor, he jumped up, brushed off his garish pink suit and glared at me as though it was I who had caused the commotion lol.
