I met in Los Angeles the babysitter/housekeeper(she was the mother of my girlfriend at that time) at that time late 60´s early 70´s, of Dr. John son, and she told me she met tons of times Mick Jagger at Dr. John´s house, parties over there incredibles, and all kind of people, but she told me never saw any members of the band over there. Connections, friendships, collaborations, opinions between the genious from New Orleans and our friends?

Well, I can tell you that I was at Tipitina's for Dr. John's show in '81, a day or so within the Stones' show in the Louisiana Superdome.

The crowd was overflowing into the street and everyone was talking about maybe seeing The Stones there.

Nothing Stones-related happened there that night. Sorry!

If I remember it right in his bio "Under a hoodoo moon" he's only talking about Mick; and the main connection - apart from Mick being guest on his album - was the LA Exile session.

Mick Jagger sung on the good Dr's Sun, Moon and Herbs album which inspired the voodoo riddims on Just Wanna See His Face.
Singer Tammi Lynn is on both albums as well.

I always thought Fingerprint File had the sound of some of Dr. John's more "out-there" stuff. I think Mick really enjoyed the New Orleans sound and what Dr. John was doing musically at the time.
