When will they tour proberbly Autum 2011 to Autum 2012
If they are smart to make the tour sell and get the press talking they will ask Bill & Mick T to return
If they do it will make front page news world wide But more than that We will get a better show,I think they will play hits off course but also more mid tempo songs
like let It Loose and Down In The Hole there catalouge is vast .
Maybe hits in Stadiums and more slower songs in smaller places.
It could be done well with taste and style.
Hope it comes off Why would Bill & Mick T turn it down. They would be stupid to turn down millions for 12 months maybe 40 shows.+ I think they would like to see the Stones 1 more time.
Bring it on Mick Keith ask them you know it makes sence in more ways than one.
Money & Music

I'm quietly hopeful you are correct. It is a logical move, and given:

1. The state of the economy
2. The fact that it is 5 decades to celebrate/acknowledge & remember
3. It would have to be the last big tour...they couldn't possibly do it again, physically.

It would make sense to go BIG, as long as everyone was physically able. To your point, a very easy sale.

However, Mick Taylor is sick, Ron Wood has the dicey addictions, Keith will be lucky to be able to pick up a guitar with those poor gnarly fingers, and Bill would be in his MID 70's!

cross your fingers!

Wake up! Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor are not coming back! They quit - one in 1974 and the other in 1993! that's 36 years and 17 years they have been gone...can we accept that now?

I wasn't aware there was a lifetime ban for quitting. Tyalor has already come back to play on a new track and according to your logic this was an impossibility, yet it happened.

Sure it would be great to see MT. The die hard fans would love it. But considering that MT gets about 500 people at his club shows paying about $25 each, it's not a good argument that he would be a good drawing power for a Stones tour.

Ronnie (allegedly) hitting his girlfriend is world news...Bill or Mick T. playing a gig with the Stones might make page 24 on the Daily Planet.

OK so ask yourself are Mick & Keith stupid when it comes to money and the Legend that they will one day leave behind when they stop touring.
Do they want to hang there boots up with yet another Steel Wheels show.I dont think so.
So if I were them they shoud offer Bill & Mick T this deal.
1 album
40 Shows
1 TV pay for view from say The Royal Albert Hall London
1 DVD of the live stadium show
A full share of all the royalties from all the above
Then ask yourself are Bill & Mick T stupid to turn it down.
They dont have to be best of mates to do this but it cou perfect end if there has to be one.
Message dont fade away go out with abigger BANG

Very interesting ideas indeed, however, your blind glee is hilariously misplaced and even a bit out of touch. Because they will do another Steel Wheels show. They already went out with a bigger bang. And they have stopped touring - they stopped in 2007, remember? Now, if they never tour again, then they never tour again. For now, though, they have stopped. They just haven't "quit" officially. They probably will never tell us either when they do decide.

Mick and Keith 69
Mick Taylor is not healthy
Charlie 71
Ronnie seems to be a little unstable

bill doesn't fly and mick doesn't seem to be in the condition for a 40+ show tour. but I guess for some special gigs it'd be possible
