Semi OT - Patti Smith

Saw Patti at an outdoor show the other night, she sang a great version of Play With Fire, i was singing along so loudly a guy in the crowd asked me what that great song is shes singing as he didnt recognise it LOL 
In great form for her age, she played fine versions of Rock N Roll Nigger and Gloria, the highlight for me though was a cover of Jim Carrolls classic "People Who Died" which I can imagine means a lot to Patti considering all the people she lost in recent years including Jim himself.

One of my all time heroines. Was there for both nights at The Roundhouse, London, in May 1976.

she's a great performer, but I feel like her band isn't up to her level.
