Ugh! How annoying. It was funny at first, but after about the 3rd page, I thought the attempts at humor were just obnoxious. But if your someone at a venue who deals with the riders, I imagine it's a nice change from most you'd see.

When you cut through all the crap though, and look at what the Stooges actually ask for, it really isn't all that much.

Is this NEW? There was a rider like this floating around online several years ago...and nobody on the Stooges forum could determine if it was real.

I don't think he had a point, I think he was just asking because he's seen it, or something similar, before.

pretty witty imho and far less obnoxious than what Metallica demanded on their 91-93 tour...

...Exactly; the rider for Iggy's solo-tour somewhere early 'Noughties', to be exact- at least: his tour right before all the recent "Stooges"-reunion tours.
Rider's almost the same; including that lame 'homosexual'-joke concerning the interior decoration of the dressing room(-s). Probably the same road management, therefor...

I don't think their demands are obnoxious, just the way it's written. The Stooges don't sound very demanding at all. I thought it was funny, but the more I read, the more annoying I felt it was. I guess I'm thinking of it from the perspective of the person/people at the venue responsible for dealing with the rider.

If it were me, I'm sure I'd appreciate and enjoy the humor, but I just picture myself after the first page or so thinking, jeesh, cut the crap already and just give me a list of what you want.

Then again, it is the Stooges, they can word their rider however they want.
