What the hell is the deal with 'x'?

Sorry if this topic has already been posted, perhaps I overlooked it. But I keep seeing these topics with the subject being 'x', apropos to nothing, that apparently were once about something else? Is it a computer glitch? Is it the vodka I ingested at 12 in the afternoon I admittedly should have waited for? Please tell me I am not losing my mind, or that at the very least it has simply become more entertaining to me.

I think gohabs deleted all his posts and changed the titles of all the threads he created to 'x'.

It's not the 'x' s you gotta be wary of.
Its the 'o' s that inevitably will follow.

i think gohabs had an internet meltdown and was all "screw you guys, i'm taking my toys with me and going home!!" and proceeded to delete his entire message history.

What a tool. He actually took time out of his busy day to delete every one of his fifty-seven posts. "This'll show 'em!", he probably thought to himself as he hit the delete key over and over. Imagine getting that worked up over what's said to you by a bunch of strangers on the internet.

Really. That's...very odd.

To invoke the Montreal Canadiens (AKA Les Habitents or the Habs) in his sign-on name and then cut and run after some mild criticism is a disservice to hockey's most fabled franchise. He's probably a bedwetter.

It's very easy to strike somebody when he's already down ,you know .
Some of the remarks are relevant for sure but many of them here make me uncomfortable,if you don't mind me to say .

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

Not really - sounds like their fans when they lose their playoff rounds.

Really. If fans of a team that won 24 Stanley Cups burn and loot their town after winning the quarterfinals this year, what's left to trash if they win the semis and then the Cup? Jeez, you'd think they were Philadelphia or something.

Speaking of which, congratulations to the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks!
