I for one can't get excited about this. the re-release of Exile is a hatchet job. There is very little material there of any historical significance. If the Stones were really committed to rewarding their legions of die-hard fans they would give us all the great live shows from the 70s that they have on tape. But to date, we have nothing. thumbs down

Actually they are opening the vaults for the "Ladies and Gentlemen" film which is a pretty good way to start...

That's exactly the definite definition of a politician, StonesTod. So I guessed well, I guess.

Most chuckle at the thought of the Stones reading these sort of message boards. I am not one of those. It would appear they lead leisurely lifes and with spare time on their collective hands. Why wouldn't they sneek a peak at these "instant information" boards? Companies spend millions of dollars on consumer research. The Stones can gather valuable information on this board for free.

Do we know the details Of the L&G dvd? It would be great if there is an audio cd companion with some bonus live tracks from a variety of venues.

Let's hope so.

I'm a fan since 65 but I don't need over and over again the same live songs.
Hope they release some outtakes from Sticky Finger or Let It Bleed next.

Hope they put out anything and everything they can from the vaults. Plundered and Following The River sound good to me, honestly better than anything they've released in a long time. I'd definitely be psyched to hear other older rhythm tracks with new lyrics and overdubs. Of course I'd like to hear the more fully realized songs that are just sitting in storage, all the stuff that didn't fit any given album for whatever reason and is pretty much complete. But their other possibilities with finishing old songs, adding new music and lyrics as they're needed, that's almost equally exciting--to me and my ears anyway.
