Yessss, I love The Band, this is a good version, but the 71' version is much more funky, it's on Youtube too. I can't stand Robertson on The Last Waltz.

Each is a great band (Band?) in its own right, but never the twain shall meet here. Two totally different styles, even though both emerged from American roots music.
Further off topic, has anyone read Levon Helm's comments on The Last Waltz and Robinson? very interesting.

Canadian Sway, I LOVE that song and that version especially! Thanks for posting.
Funny you should mention this in the context of Exile ... I was just thinking about how Exile is the Stones at their "rootsiest" ... and the Band was definitely all about the roots of American music. So if there's a Stones album where any Band songs belong, it's definitely Exile.
