Dangerous Beauty

Why do so many of you dislike Dangerous Beauty? I just listened to it a few minutes ago, and I realized what a good song it is. It deals with important social issues like High Wire, it has a good beat, the singing is great, and the guitar solo in the middle has a jazzy feel to it. It is definitely not your typical Stones song, and it is certainly not a song one can dance to. I enjoy it because it is very different from what we usually expect from the Stones. It seems mean and threatening to me.

Why do some of you hate this song?

>It is definitely not your typical Stones song

That riff couldnt really be anyone else.

Love it.

One of my top 5 favorite Stones songs! IORR, Moonlight Mile, Respectable, Street Fighting Man, and Dangerous Beauty.

I think it is one of the great ones off BB. Not bad at all with some great riffing and Mick sings it raunchy and full of venom.

It's one of the best songs on A Bigger Bang and certainly in that vein of the One Hit (To The Body)Wicked As It Seems/Love Is Strong/Lowdown motif that Keith has been obviously enjoying all these years.

It's a huge chunky bowl of riffage. This song and It Won't Take Long go well together. Both are awesome stomping riff bashing tunes with pretty damn good vocals to boot.

I always liked Dangerous Beauty. A loud rocker with a powerful guitar riff. In fact, I like the whole album, especially the second half of it. On the first half there a few filler tracks like Let Me Down Slow or Biggest Mistake. But all in all, A Bigger Bang is just great. And Dangerous Beauty fits in very well.

The guitar solo could have been longer, though.

I always liked this song. I agree on the longer solo. I bought the cd at midnight when it was released and was falling asleep on my first listen and that solo was one of the musical highlights that woke me up and made me have a second listen.

No matter how good songs The Stones make today, it gets unnoticed by the rest of the world. If this song had been released 30 years ago, wow! There is too much of everything now, to quote Bryan Ferry.

Yes "Dangerous Beauty" is great. Almost as good as "Sweet Neocon" !

I agree, if it had been released before, it might have been considered a great song by more people.

No, but I'll bet the guy on the leash takes special pride in his contribution to popular culture .... if he's even still alive, that is.

Seet Neo-con ruined the CD. Would have been an A+ without that crap and replaced by Under the Radar

Hey - I just had to check. Seeing how we've had our disagreements lately, I wasn't sure!

i think Dangerous Beauty is neither "awful bad", nor bad at allsmiling smiley)) it is a pretty strong stones rocker, one of the stronger songs on ABB. i personally didn´t like it too much at the beginning, but it grew on me....
