Sorry but this is where the title ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME looks very dubious when considering some of the honorees. ABBA is not ROCK and ROll. So why are they in? Madonna is not ROCK and ROLL so why is she in? This is where the rub is, that many important rock groups, like Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper aren't in, yet those two mentioned above are. Ridiculous! And an embaressment that it took this long for Igg and the Stooges to be inducted. Shame on them!

I hope that Alice Cooper (the band, not the solo act) gets in someday soon.

But Sabbath is already in.

Ok, good! For some reason I thought they weren't in. Cooper should be in for sure! And The Band for sure!

OK, Beach Boys, Beatles and ABBA is not maybe real Rock'n'roll, but they did wrote songs of some importants. Who gives a flying f**k about Alice Coopers songs today?

I disagree completely with your assessment that The Beatles and Beach Boys were not rock n roll. OF COURSE they were. You may not like them, but they were rock. ABBA is not rock!

grinning smiley Rock is played by The Rolling Stones and their followers like Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers...The Beatles is also OK rock for me, no doubt about that...ABBA was inducted because folks like Bono and Springsteen says they appreciate some of their songs, just like me, some of their songs is really beautiful..

so I say Thank you for the music...

The Hollies? Well, they're long overdue their place. They're not 'rock n' roll' per-se, but were a fabulous pop act with a run of splendid singles: Just One Look, Look Through Any Window, I'm Alive, Here I Go Again, Sorry Suzanne, etc.
