The Mick Jagger Band

A RS song came on while I was driving my son to school and I said, "hey, it's the Mick Jagger band" (not sure why that popped into my head). Then I said, if you ever meet Keith Richards, you should say "hey, aren't you in the Mick Jagger band"?

Hehe - That would be awesome. What do you think Keith would say?

I don't think he'd say anything - he'd be too busy pulling his fist from your face.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

There is some truth to it; that goes particularly for the last decade or so.

Not that I am happy with it!

I thought who would he have if he thought stuff it and toured Australiasia, Sth America and possibly Sth Africa.

Would be a good tour. Esp if Lenny was there. J Ripp annoys me with his over the top Keithisms but the cat can cut up an axe....

Keith would certainly think you're talking about "Mick Jagger's bending technique " on guitar ......

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

The Stones IS Mick Jagger, since 89 he pulls the strings and runs the business. Keith is there for the image, Billy was replaced easily. Charlie is dement, did you see in Exile?/ Funny this old man and the happy and healthy Mick. Without Mick and his business mind the Stones would had been dead after Dirty Work!

Didn't Don Kirshner introduce them on Rock Concert as "Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones?"

I disagree with most of what you write. Charlie is demented? In what way?

Keith is there to play. The image is a side-product, and he does play it up, but it's not why he's there. Not to take credit away from Mick though, he does put a lot of work into it and should be commended.

One more thing - and I only say this because I'm a bitch - but I never call them "The Stones". It kind of makes me cringe. Maybe if i'm in a rush, but I regret it later. This is based on absolutely zero data, but I tend to think that people that call them that aren't real fans. Silly, but it's the way I think.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Actually, in the advertisement in Jazz News for their first ever gig they were called "Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones"...

I seem to remember reading something about a sign which read Mick Jagger & The Rolling Stones outside an arena on the US tour in 78 and Keith wasn't impressed.

Unfortunately, I think it was in "Old Gods" which I read it, which would mean that it would be pretty likely to not be true.
