I'm reading the book by Chet Felipo(?), again, and always wondered why the guys did two shows in Baton Rouge. Especially when the shows were two hours long. I know they did a lot of these in the 60's but it seems odd that they would do this to kick off a tour.

It's quite regular to do the opening shows in the "province" because they sort out the the set lists. If you look at www.nzentgraf.de (don't worry, it's in English) you will find out that they tried out different songs in both concerts ending up with more differences during the first week. They played Sure The One You Need!!!!!!!???????

I just find it odd that after the '72 tour they would need 2 two hour shows.
