I am asking for recommendations for interesting and informative guitar forum sites. I am really getting into playing electric guitar, I'm a bassist, and play drums/percussion. I have played an acoustic guitar at home for a long time, so I know something of how to play. Just don't know that much about guitar amps, effect boxes, pickups, etc. Have 2 solid body electrics now which I'm really enjoying (one in open G!).

yes sir good old Stones Faces rock and blues. and a bit of Dire Staits-JJ Cale style in there too. and Texas blues a la T Bone Walker..

just discovered recently. by far the best guitar site. you have to pay a bit (really not much) and you'll get access to hundreds of lessons (all styles from country to speedmetal, blues, slideguitar.....) hundreds of songs are shown and teached step by step on video.
basicaly everything you wanna learn about guitarplaying. great forum also.

More blues lessons are online by a guy called Griff Hamlin. It's on a DVD for sale, but you can also subscribe to a mailing list and receive snippets, usually one or two a week. Pretty good stuff. [bluesguitarunleashed.com]
