Teddy used to advertise "For Ladies Only " shows...and for guys there was no better place to be!

Saw him at the Greek Theatre a few months before the accident. My date and I sat in the second row...incredible show...

What a tragedy. This is a man who died twice...

REST IN PEACE.

He was indeed. I have most of his stuff from since Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes time. Saw him in concert several times and he always sent the swoon factor into overdrive for us ladies. Some years after his tragic accident, I exchanged a few words with him at a book signing for his autobiography. Obviously, he was in his wheelchair but I told him that he still had what it took and he laughed. A very sad loss. Turn off the lights and light a candle...

Wake up Everybody, and shed a tear in your heart for Teddy...
such a big part of the soulful sound that came out of Philadelphia in the '70's (Gamble/Huff). He also was a great example for those recovering and coping with serious spinal injuries.

Rest in peace, brother, but rest assured that your voice will live on and on..

My uncle had the same thing happen and lived another 15 years after becoming a quad. He checked out in 2004. 47. Curtis Mayfield has checked out. Oh and he liked Teddy too. My uncle, that is>
