My main criteria is that the groups in this thread have to have been pretty wellknown internationally once.

Slightly on-topic all of a sudden with this cover which a Dartford-/London-based band also did..

Even if this here dude aint no band; my thesis here is that some can only blame themselves if they become forgotten......

There was a band called The Cockroaches that were around for a bit in the mid-70's...they were pretty good. Dunno what happened to them though.

An example of Krautrock: NEU, here's the track HALLOGALLO from their debut album NEU!

The band was not really that internationally famous but rather well known among insiders. A forgotten gem.

Quote
Their eponymous first album sold very little by mainstream standards (though 30,000 records was a lot for an "underground" band), yet is today considered a masterpiece by many, including influential artists such as David Bowie, Brian Eno and Thom Yorke of Radiohead. It included the Motorik benchmark tracks "Hallogallo" and "Negativland" (the band Negativland took their name from this track), and bizarre "songs" like "Sonderangebot".

(Top right in the above pic is the album cover.)

And another example of Krautrock: BIRTH CONTROL with GAMMA RAY:

Coooz I know Earring is Dutch.
That quote is tored outta its context, authentic or not.
It was a fictive kinda answer to that imbecill, repetitive reminding of some
of my postings before. Plus if you are persecuted by someone
from a particular country ya might feel uncomfortable with that person's origin.
I have had a girlfriend from/in Holland plus many friends!
And Rooster is Dutch! smiling smiley

Here is my favorite Free tune..
