Dinner invitation: Would you like to dine with Jo Wood, in her home?
Posted by: Addicted ()

Found an invitation in my mail box. Since I can't make it, I thought perhaps someone here would like to join Jo Wood for an organic dinner.
You must promise to watch your manners, don't show up drunk (she's had it with people who can't control their consumption of alcohol...) and please don't try to carry home any souvernirs.
Info about how to sign up for dinner at the end of the post.

Come dine with me at
Mrs Paisley’s Christmas Lashings

Come dine with me...
Mrs Paisley’s Christmas Lashings
Earlier this year I launched my very own pop up restaurant in my home, which I called Mrs Paisley’s Lashings. As you all know, I have been a supporter and campaigner for environmental issues for many years now, and I felt that this would be a great platform for me to highlight the importance of us all eating in a more eco-conscious, healthy and sustainable way. All the produce was either grown in my own garden or locally sourced, it was organic where possible, and of course seasonal and absolutely delicious. My mission was to demonstrate that a wonderful dinner could and should be environmentally produced, and the luxury of going out for dinner could also be sustainable.
So, with Christmas, the season of goodwill just round the corner, it seemed appropriate to celebrate another wonderful culinary season and open ‘Mrs Paisley’s Christmas Lashings’.

Mrs Paisley’s Christmas Lashings will be open for dinner for 10 nights only and once again set in the boutique style restaurant I created in the grounds of my home, Holmwood. Using old crockery I have sourced from antique shops, beautiful lace table cloths, flowers from the garden, the environment will provide a unique and spectacular venue to enjoy dinner and raise vital awareness.

In the kitchen I’m teaming up with my great friend and the UK’s leading eco chef, Arthur Potts Dawson again. Arthur is working with me to develop a fabulous seasonal menu.

My other aim for Mrs Paisley’s Lashings was to also raise money for charity and good causes. This season I will be ploughing profit, love and energy into my new initiative, creating Mrs Paisley’s Gardens in schools across the UK where children can learn to grow their own nourishing food. I think it is important for the next generation to understand the importance of growing or sourcing food locally before it gets too late. More information on this program will of course follow and be available on each night.
If you are interested in coming to dine with me, the dates are as follows:
Tuesday 1st December
Wednesday 2nd December
Thursday 3rd December
Friday 4th December
Saturday 5th December
Tuesday 8th December
Wednesday 9th December
Thursday 10th December
Friday 11th December
Saturday 12th December
The restaurant will be open from 7pm – 11pm, and will cater exclusively for 30 covers per night.
A three course tasting menu will be served for £100 per head including a seasonal cocktail upon arrival.

I hope you might be able to join me and help spread some seasonal cheer.

To the person who mailed me: No, I don't think Kat's going to show up... That would be too big a provocation, don't you think?

If I could afford 100 GBP and air fare, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

BTW, what's for dessert?

I went during the summer when there was an earlier Lashing and thoroughly enjoyed it.No celebs that I recognised, other than The Mighty Boosh on the next table. Cocktails were served in jamjars so as to be eco-friendly.We had a good time.

That explains those pics from Ronnie's daughter's wedding!

Sure, always thought she was a cutie in a Goldie Hawn type of way.

I'd have dinner at her place. I'd also ask her out while I was there.
