<<<The only bands who had international success throughout the last two decades were Rammstein and Die Toten Hosen (esp. in South America).

Scorpions are worth a laugh, in particular as they think of themselves of international rock stars. They're just ridiculous.<<<

Scorpions are defenitely not my favourite but no german band has become even close if if comes to worldwide success.

I would like to mention Inga Rumpf(Frumpy, Atlantis). She is the most underrated singer in germany.

The most interesting thing with FRUMPY is the connection to the Stones: singer Inga Rumpf said in an interview that she had a studio session with Keith and Ronnie in the mid seventies (Black And Blue), but the session was a mess cause our boys arrived totally drunk at the studio. She said that she still owns the tape...

"here in the states rammstein is still primarily an underground band"

Probably cos they've told the Yanks to f@ck off around 2001... R+ now mainly concentrate on the European "market". With proper PR they'd also be huge in South Am and Asia.
