"Monumental picture book" on Exile -- and it's not Tarle's?

I was reading the review of Exile by Lenny Kaye in another thread in which Kaye states (in 1972): "In that light, Exile On Main Street [sic] is not just another album, a two-month binge for the rack-jobbers and then onto whoever's up next. Backed by an impending tour and a monumental picture-book, its mere presence in record stores makes a statement." At first blush, I thought he meant Tarle's Exile book, but then I realized Tarle's book was not published by Genesis Publications until 2001 and Kaye's review was written in 1972, 29 years prior to the publication of Tarle's Exile.

Soooo -- does anyone know what 1972 Exile "monumental picture book" Kaye is referring to? The STP Tour Program?

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

I bet he was talking about David Dalton's first book on the Stones, which was brand-new then.

Yeah, I was thinking the same.
"Monumental" Rock books were different in those Pre-Genesis days.

And, btw. I have lots of Stones books but this one from Dalton is still one of my favourites!
