I was at the 1987 Superbowl (Broncos vs. Giants) and the Beach Boys played pre-show song or set, well, they faked it I should say, no live playing at all. I don't know if it was televised or not. Face value of a ticket was $75 then.

I was there also, I paid the kid taking tickets $20, as well as my other two friends....PLUS, we brought in a 12 pack or a case of beer, I can't remember. I still have the seat cushion. smiling smiley

Well, we're still together...I would say mostly yes - she gives me the freedom to play and enjoy music,,,,and she spends my (and her) money...but so do I.

Funny, she said to me the other day,"I'd let you do my sister, if I had one".

They've probably done some market research and determined that the average Super Bowl viewer is about 45 years old, because with only a few exceptions, they have chosen performers who were at the peak of their creativity and popularity 30 years earlier, when the average 45-year-old fan would have been 15. So don't expect to see Pearl Jam until around 2022.

I think it's time for Up With People to return. It would be great to see The Who do it but I don't see it happening...

Unfortunately, the current rumors say it's gonna be Bon Jovi......*groan*

I was at the 1980 Super Bowl and saw Up With People. Magnificent!!!! My beloved Los Angeles Rams lost to the Steelers, but what a game. The Rams actually led at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
