Mick will be playing the songs that influenced the band as well as artists who inspired Exile On Main Street, this coming Monday, May 31 on BBC 2.

Obviously influencing their initial sound there's going to be some Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley. If he has time I'm sure we'll get The Temptations, Buddy Holly, Elvis, James Brown, Don Covay, Arthur Alexander and a host of other blues and r'n'b greats.
As for the inspiration behind Exile obviously there's Slim Harpo, Dr John, Robert Johnson, Gram Parsons, but I also hear Buck Owens, Lightnin' Hopkins, Aretha, Johnny Burnette and the Rock n Roll Trio.
Be interesting to see what he plays.
