Yeah, Eddie's version is great! BTW, I love "Blue Jean Bop".

Errrrr, Rolling Stones version (20FR) is good too.

And what about Something Else? Keith did this at a Spanish Festival of Guitars - some name like that - in the '90s, I think.

I love the in-your-face drumming on Eddie's original that demands your attention.

Having heard The Stones cover Twenty flight Rock and Keith in Spain, I bought a "Best of" and could not stop playing Something Else. Eddie Cochran was like the Stones in that his music is not too complicated, shall we say, but, boy,is it powerful or what?

Let's not forget Summertime Blues either.

<<Let's not forget Summertime Blues either>>

...or C'mon Everybody. The Stones jammed on both tracks at the Woodstock rehearsals

If someone was to ask me who, in my lifetime, was the first artist I can remember listening to, I would say Eddie Cochran. I loved him as a little kid and still do. Sittin' In The Balcony was one of my favourite songs along with so many others. He was only 21 when he died. Way too young.

Humble Pie's version of C'mon Everbody also is a killer! Steve Marriot-what a voice he had!

Into Rockabilly right now! It's a shame he was lost so early.

"Don't Forget Me", is a great read...seems to be out of print, which is a pity, but you can still pick it up at Amazon ,etc, for a fair price.

I had to look it up. Check it out: [www.imdb.com]

Interestingly, IMDB has Cochran listed as "uncredited" for this film.

Me too! Very same story - I first heard Twenty Flight Rock and Keith's Something Else around the same time and then went out and bought an Eddie Cochrane collection.

That's cool seeing Keith cover Somethin' Else. Steve Jordan is a fine drummer. He brings such energy to the table everytime.

Try his one and only album.

Hard to find the original but well worth it....

>> Jayne Mansfield, Eddie Cochran, The Platters, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Gene Vincent - helluva cast! <<

unfortunately they keep cutting away from the music for no good reason -
who needs a "plot" when you've got acts like that?! - but the film is definitely worth checking out anyway.
it is way, way surreal :E
