I was watching Gimmie Shelter today I was just thinking when the hells angels are beating people up i suppose thats how the 1st mosh pit got started.

Gimmie Shelter is the name of the song - the film title uses the American spelling: Gimme
isn't that interesting

Correct, the move is Gimme Shelter, not Gimmie Shelter.

On Let It Bleed it's Gimmie. Hot Rocks it's Gimme and every release that I've ever seen since is Gimme.

It's the same with Honky Tonk Women. Most later live recordings got it as Honky Tonk Woman. Even Mick sings it like this nowadays.
