I've been receiving more than few emails
from various people in rolling stones cyber community
indicating the last time you and I saw the stones
"was the last time."
gimme a glimmer

cool. time to open the vaults. if they had only thought of this a few years ago, we'd be listening to the vaults stuff now....the really great ones leave the stage even earlier....

I'll post it on rs.com too.

here's some information came my way
by a few sources indicating "the band quietly agreeing
to call it quits from further recording or touring."

Isn't it though? RO has gotten tedious beyond all measure; shidoobee is a ghost town & this one has gotten silly as well.

Can you list a few examples of "great ones" who knew when to leave the stage?

"the band quietly agreeing to call it quits from further recording or touring."

yeah, they made the points clear some time ago...

Oh the singer, he looks angry
At being thrown to the lions
And the bass player, he looks nervous
About the girls outside
And the drummer, he was shattered
Trying to keep up time
And the guitar players look damaged
They've been outcasts all thier lives

The Beatles
Led Zep
Abba
The Smiths
The Stone Roses

great bands who have kept they're integrity intact, by knowing when to quit
and not reforming.

Beatles are negated by Wings.
Zep keeps hinting at possible reunions.
ABBA should be horrified by that Mamma Mia movie & never show their faces again.
Morrissey had a better solo career, at least in the US.
Who?

Led Zep decided to quit after Bonham died...
Didn´t they rehearsed the evening before ?

To quit by the "forces of nature" (more or less,a least) is one decision,
to quit because you´re sick of it all, running out of ideas etc. is another one.

Alright let me get back the the serious content
which is that the stones are done stick a fork in them.
logically thinking maybe it's true.
no regrets what a great ride
just got an email in from a most realiable source,
that a meeting with the 3 principal Rolling Stones
was held before the Universal record deal. That information
was posted from another site,
gimme a glimmer..
