Great concert last wednesday at Sunside Jazz Club.

Tim Ries and his band played during 3 hours (two sets).

Tim Ries and Bernard Fowler played with a rhythm section from Paris : Frank Amsallem, one of the best French jazz pianist, Riccardo del Fra an Italian bass player who played with Art Farmer, Dizzy Gillespie, Tommy Flanagan, Sonny Stitt, Lee Konitz, Kai Winding, Bob Brookmeyer, Johnny Griffin, Toots Thielemans,Barney Wilen...and Frédéric Favarel a great guitar player who played on last Tim Ries cd.

Bernard Fowler sang 8 Stones songs : Honky tonk woman, wild horses, baby break it down, miss you, Lady Jane, fool to cry (nice version), Ruby Tuesday, satisfaction. Bernard is an impressive singer. He should turn in Europe, with his own band, during next autumn.

It was the fourth time that I saw Tim with the Rolling Stones Project and it's always a pleasure. I liked quite specially his concerts in New York (Jazz Standard) and in London (Ronnies Scott's) in 2006.
