Ok...I thought this might be a fun & interesting thread....sorry if it's been done before.

I understand that everyone has their own taste in music, movies & tv etc... and every
"big star" usually has some redeeming quality. For example, I don't like the Jonas Brothers but
I understand their appeal to others...

There are some things that have huge mass appeal....but are absolute Zeroes to me.
Here are a few that I JUST DON'T GET:

TV "personality": Carson Daly

Movie "star": Terrence Howard

Musician(s): The Cure, Morrissey

TV Show: House

tv personality- Steve Carell (unfunniest funny man I have ever seen)
music- Nora Jones (utterly drab and depressing sound)
movie personality- Adam Sandler (maybe one good movie throughout his career)

TV adult "cartoon" shows, like The Simpsons-infantile crap.

And, as has been stated, Adam Sandler-he couldn't act his way out of a wet paper sack.

But . . . . . I do understand that others love them. Definitely different strokes..

I know Paris Hilton isn't really on TV but she's always...on TV.

TV - All "reality" shows, Dr. Phil, Andy Dick, David Spade, MTV (wasn't the M for music?)

Movies - Adam Sandler (ain't funny, just stupid), Borat/Bruno

Music - Pink Floyd (no good unless high), Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane

Johnny Depp - all the women LOVE him. I just don't get it.

TV in general as it currently stands - nothing but reality shows and crime-based dramas. WTF?!?!?? I watch 2 shows religiously, and neither of them are on at the moment in new episodes. There's never anything good on - when did we become a nation of such mush for brains?!?! Where are all the great sitcomes like Friends, Cheers, Cosby Show, Family Ties - particularly FAMILY shows that everyone can sit down and watch together - boy there's a novel concept, actually spending time together as a family. LOL
