I think it's a cool legend though - adds to his mystique.

I believe it was Tony Sanchez's book that stated the blood transfusion as fact. Greenfield may have also. Guter Scherz all right.

According to liner notes of Universal remastered It's Only Rock'n Roll,
Keith and Marshall Chess had blood replacement on Aug 24, 1973.


I think it's one of cycle stories.

Why would those writers tell of a blood transfusion if he casually told a couple guys in an airport? (or were the 2 Greenfield and Spanish Tony?)
