I opted for the 2 CD "basic" version, which is on order from Amazon. Couldn't afford the "super deluxe" version. This will make the fourth version of "Exile" I own (vinyl/original CD/remastered CD/deluxe CD).

No real point buying a glorified trailer for it, I dont really need a third vinyl copy (I'll buy it eventually if I feel the impulse) so if I bought the deluxe version I'd effectively be paying £50 or more for a 50-page photo book that I'd probably look at about twice.

I ordered the Super Deluxe. Quite alot of money really, but several factors played into the decision. One the album is from the year I was born so I wasn't able to go out and buy this new when it was released, of course. So I wanted to be able to do that. It means something to me.To get the vinyl and cd's new...of course I could have done that seperate and cheaper but still.....
Then I was lucky enough to get it for only $58.58 from Best Buy due to reward certificates I had. But I would have paid full price anyway...

I'll buy the super deluxe (Wednesday)... I don't have the original LP

This is my 4th Exile in 30 years.

The only "record" shop left in my city is HMV. The same place I bought my 1st copy in 1980 / 1981. Kind of thought provoking !

HMV copy has an extra slip case . Is this the same from Amazon ?

The fact that Stones in Exile and Ladies and Gentleman are getting separate releases made it a no brainer

2 cd version. And then the Stones In Exile dvd next month, followed by l&g later, and hopefully a new album soon.

I went for the Target package (USA) of the new tracks on CD plus the T Shirt. I do not feel need for new EOMS CD unless there are rave reviews about sound. Only thing bad for now is that I have to wait another week to receive in the mail.

The super deluxe because I'm new to the Stones scene, I love these packages, I have a vinyl fetish and I don't spend much money on anything else besides music.

None. I don't need to. My mom has got the original pressing.

Aww come on Bill at least get the Deluxe for ya mum...

How's the quality (soundwise) of the original songs on the new CD compared to those on the old CD? Did they do any remastering, remixing?

Bought the deluxe YA YAS which was cheaper but only played the second cd a couple of times and the BB KING /Ike&tina CD once,and the DVD once, not the easiest to get out of the packaging so not really a regular thing, so not going to get the Deluxe Exile to have to do something similar .

can we get some reviews of how the sound on the original EOMS is now? any difference from the virgin remasters?

Wish they'd tell us about these in good time. Its pretty annoying to buy or order a release and then suddenly some 'exclusive version' pops up somewhere in an attempt to make you buy the whole thing all over again. Very cynical.
