The use of line arrays is still a contentious issue amongst sound professionals. I, for one, don't like them for several reasons.

No matter how many people sing the praises of full coverage, my experience is that it is highly dependant upon your position on the pitch. One person can get crystal clear sound and someone only a few meters away can get a horrible barely intelligible sound.
