I imagine that Martin Scorsese has been discussed here a bit...

Even before SAL, and aside from his use of Stones songs in his films...
I always liked Scorsese's films. Also the way he veers in genre from drama to comedy to music documentary.

I just watched "After Hours" (again) ...
Hysterically funny NYC nighmare from one or two decades ago.
This funny movie is one of my favorites.
Also check out the commentary bonus features on the DVD...
very interesting if you are a fan of Scorsese.

After Hour is great fun!

He, with DiNero, are doing a true-life mob story based on the book "I Heard You Paint Houses." DiNero said they might even do two films derived from this biography of a Hit Man. I can't wait to see it.
