Especially the "load of drugs" part:

Johnny Borrell Admits Stealing From Rolling Stones Rider

added 12 January 2009 at 12.20

You’re the singer of Razorlight. You’ve just supported the Rolling Stones. Do you, a) do the sponsored ‘Meet The Band Inc’, or b) Steal lobsters from their rider and race off to the South of France? Find out what J.Bo did here…
Filling in for the Xfm Residency for the second time last night (January 11), Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell once again played timeless tunes and told fascinating tales.

Kicking off the show with a rare solo track from Keith Richards, titled ‘Don’t’, Borrell continued to tell a story of the aftermath of supporting Richards’ Rolling Stones. It’s a long tale, but stay with us:

“We supported the Rolling Stones at the Stade de France in Paris a couple years ago. After we played the gig everyone was asking me if I wanted to hang around and do this sponsored visit to go see ‘Rolling Stones Incorporated Meet The Band And Hang Out’ in the backstage areas. It was a huge, huge operation. These guys have been playing stadiums longer than anyone else in the whole world, so I guess they’ve their operation completely down.

“Anyway, I just loaded up a load of drugs and alcohol, and stole a couple of lobsters from their rider. They had this massive catering tent full, full, full of fine food, and I had a really fast Mercedes and a great driver. I jumped in the back of a car with the most beautiful girl in the world and drove down to the South of France getting wasted. I woke up in the morning in the mountains, my head totally smashed.

“I thought that was a more fitting tribute to supporting the Rolling Stones then going on this sponsored tour to see the brand do their thing.”

Either this guy is the biggest dolt on the planet or a natural born liar.
From what he describes, why in the world would he ruin the opportunity
of a long term business relationship with the band and organization?

Stealing food, having dope and traveling with it in France? Why? No logic
behind this story what so ever...

Borrell is notorious for this shite.

His latest album, has flushed down the toilet,
and he needs a bit of publicity.

He's a legend in his own lunchtime.

Forget him and his awful band.

I've never heard of this guy or his band.
But...if it really is true, it's a stroke of pure rock and roll genius!

Where did all the rock stars go?

Johnny Borrell is a twat of a major order. His group are rubbish, and he looks like a Peter Frampton impersonator.

He stole LOBSTER ... WOW! Rock n roll man! Hope that beast castrated him with its pincers.

He and his band didn't impress me at the Paris gig. Rather boring, in fact. So he nicked a couple of lobsters from the Rattlesnake Lounge (or equivalent) and got loaded in a car - big deal. Would have been a lot cooler to have watched the Stones and learned a bit about working / pleasing a crowd. Might even have picked up some songwriting tips!

about the solo track "don't"
I've got it on a record called "keith richards high and lonesome", from 1979, recorded in toronto
but i'm sure it's a cover version coz I know a version of elvis

I did attend the above mentioned show and finally I got the name of the opening band.
They sucked big time and no one knew who they where, that's why he fled to the South of France, otherwise they woulda hanged out in Paris and party the hell out of the city like the Stones did many times.
Loser!
