his solos on original recordings of Hand of Fate and Worried About You are fantastic.

Anyone know anything about him, or seen him live? There's hardly anything on Youtube

I bet you he would cook on stage with the Stones (he's only 57, too)

Jagger's not in good voice at all there - but Preston does well.

Bill sounds good. But aren't Wayne's just fantastic solos on the record? All three of them?

My other fave Wayne Perkins album is the Wailers' "Catch A Fire", where his playing on the 'Island mix' is dark, subtle and funky...Contrast this classic album (from 1973, their first for the Island label) to the 'Jamaican mix' made available on the 2cd 'deluxe edition' issued a few years ago...Both versions are killer.

I just saw him play on New Year's Eve -- he showed up unannounced at a Stones tribute thang. He pointed out that he was wearing black and blue : )

Perkins played an incredible solo on Bob Marley's "Concrete Jungle"... uncredited on the album...

He plays that?! It's amazing. The whole track ofcourse, but particularly that lead guitar throughout.

Funny how you assume it's Jamaican musicians. Can't remember the wailer's guitar player's name from that time.

slew - is that a reply to my comment? I meant his three solos on the of Fate.

He also plays on Memory Motel - but not a solo (from memory!)
