The Duke Spirit wrapped up their US tour with a sold-out show at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Friday night (December 19) as a member of The Rolling Stones looked on.
The London band gave a rousing set that focused primarily on their most recent album 'Neptune' for an adoring crowd that included The Rolling Stones' bassist Ronnie Wood accompanied by an entourage.
Dressed in a gold sequined mini-dress, frontwoman Leila Moss put her band through the paces during the driving, hour-long set.
"Today's our last day after nine weeks on tour," Moss told the crowd. "We've been through a lot. We've seen you elect a new president. We're nearly dead but we made it tonight."
Despite unusually cold LA temperatures, the club was sweltering as the crowd danced and sang along to several tracks.
After the show, the band celebrated their final gig of 2008 by popping a bottle of champagne in their dressing room.
"After the holidays we'll get our ideas together (for a new album) drummer Olly Betts told NME.COM. "We'll get away to Wales where we'll all cook for each other. It's all very civilised. We're like the rock and roll Waltons," he quipped.
The Duke Spirit played:
'Lion Rip'
'Lassoo'
'Dog Roses'
'Step And The Walk'
'Into The Fold'
'My Sunken Treasure'
'Hello To The Floor'
'This Ship Was Built To Last'
'Red Weather'
'You Really Wake Up The Love In Me'
'Send A Little Love Token'
'Love Is An Unfamiliar Name'
'Wooden Heart'
'Neptune's Call'
'Cuts Across The Land'
